FH Münster University of Applied Sciences (MUAS)

Awarded as one of the Top 5 universities for university-industry knowledge exchange by the German Ministry of Education and Research in 2007, the FH Münster University of Applied Sciences (MUAS) has a long tradition of promoting university-industry cooperation and knowledge exchange since 1971. By bringing in multidisciplinary expertise in science marketing (Science-to-Business Marketing Research Centre), innovation and technology transfer (TAFH Münster GmbH), and food chemistry and nutrition (Food Lab Münster), MUAS supports practitioners in the food sector with innovative product research and development, marketing, and commercialisation in the PIFS project.

Momentum

Momentum is an award-winning Irish educator focused on developing progressive learning programmes (course curriculum and content development) and platforms for education, with a special focus on the food-sector including food entrepreneurship, start-up/scale-up business planning, innovation, and marketing.   Our team combines over 40 years’ experience working in the food sector helping educators and SMEs respond to the dynamic and changing needs they experience.   We train and mentor hundreds of food SMEs per annum. We advise food networks and policymakers.

Momentum also has a strong marketing division specialising in brand development, content generation, communication strategies, digital media and social media attracting high-profile attention to our programmes. We are very proud of our role in developing the PIFS brand that is carried through the project.

European E-learning Institute

European E-learning Institute (EUEI) specialises in the creation of powerful online platforms, immersive educational environments and provision of resources and tools to create truly valuable learning experiences.

Our approaches to education and its relationship to the wider economic and social development agenda reflect this experience, providing a cumulative process of insight, learning, and creativity to solve new challenges.

We have a particular expertise and experience in Food related online course including courses such as; Streetfood – Opportunities for Youth,  foodincubators.how,  www.small-holders.eu and foodinnovation.how

The University of Nottingham Food Innovation Centre

The University of Nottingham Food Innovation Centre was set up in 2016 to help food and drink manufacturing SMEs develop their business productivity and commercial performance. The Centre currently has a team of seven sector specialists to provide support and advice and has delivered successful SME support projects to over 250 businesses.

It sits at the University’s Biosciences campus and accesses food & nutrition science, brewing/sensory science and other faculties like the business school and digital manufacturing. The Centre contributes to the PIFS project by providing scientific knowledge on elderly nutritional health needs and innovative solutions advice to SME businesses.

Fundación Ageing Lab

Ageing Social is a non-profit foundation from the city of Jaén (Spain) created with the aim of becoming a knowledge platform on ageing. We are part of a wide research and dissemination network thanks to our Living Lab, accredited within the European Network of Living Labs (Enoll) that allows us to participate in several national and international projects (Erasmus plus and H2020). Some of these projects aim to bring technology closer to the care sector (Pharaon or Housing Care), encourage social prescription (Activate) or motivate healthy consumption in the region in this PIFS project.

Lithuanian Innovation Centre (LIC)

Lithuanian Innovation Centre (LIC) is a public institution providing support and consultations for SMEs for more than 25 years. All activities of the institution are directed forwards fostering capabilities of the companies to develop and implement innovations.  As from 2016 LIC is actively working in the field of silver economy on the national and international level by generating new market viable silver products or services and delivering public lectures regarding the potential of Silver economy in Lithuania, PIFS project outputs would serve as useful tools for companies to get inspirations about food market for seniors opportunities.
